Bottineau County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Dakota. As of the 2010 census, the population was 6,429. Its county seat is Bottineau. Bottineau is well known for its winter park, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. It is south from the Canadian borders of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. As of the census of 2000, there were 7,149 people, 2,962 households, and 1,954 families residing in the county.
